ofASTM D217 Standard Test Methods for Cone Penetration of Lubricating
Grease.
The sample is placed in a constant temperature bath at 25 ℃ ±
0.1 ℃, a standard cone with a load of 150 grams, moves vertically without
obvious friction, sinks into grease or grease within 5 seconds, and the
depth in Vaslin is called grease cone penetration to identify the soft
hardness of grease.
