Application

The instrument is designed and manufactured according to ASTM D94 and the national standard GB/T-8021 Determination of Petroleum Products Saponification Value, suitable for determining the content of components which can be saponified under the test conditions of petroleum products.

Under the test conditions specified in this standard, the milligrams of potassium hydroxide consumed by 1 gram of sample is referred to as the saponification value.

Test Method   

Dissolve a known quantitative sample in butanone, heat with a quantitative potassium hydroxide ethanol solution, and titrate the excess alkali with hydrochloric acid standard solution, and then calculate the saponification value.

Structure and Features

The stainless steel constant temperature bath is the main part of the instrument. It is equipped with stainless steel pole, stainless steel water bath cover, intelligent digital display temperature control meter, 250ml conical flask, straight reflux condenser, 25ml pipette, 50ml burette with index 0.1ml, and various fixtures, etc. The temperature of the instrument can be set freely from room temperature to 100℃. It has fast temperature rise and high constant temperature accuracy.

 The instrument is made of corrosion-resistant materials that can be used for a long time. The matching multi-purpose fixture and the water bath have good heating constant temperature performance. It can be used for various purposes in laboratory.
